Indigenous Literacy Day

Since 2008, the Indigenous Literacy Foundation has gifted over 260,000 books to 250 remote communities; published over 80 community stories that reflect 15 Indigenous languages, and built a community-driven early-literacy program in over 20 communities.

But there’s a long way to go …

This year the ILF are aiming to raise $300,000 this year to buy 30,000 new and culturally appropriate books for children living in the most remote and isolated parts of Australia.

Scribble feels strongly that all children should have access to books and the power of literacy and will be donating 25% of sales from our website for the week Wednesday 5 September to Wednesday 12 September.
