Davina Bell is a writer and editor of books for young people. She was a Senior Editor at Penguin Books Australia, where she worked with some of our country’s most beloved children’s book creators. Davina lives and works in Melbourne, where she still dreams about the Western Australian beaches while drinking a lot of very good Melbourne coffee.
‘I’m thrilled to discover a book that reassures (kids) that there are a lot of ways to excel and that we each have our own unique gifts’.
— Rosemary, Library Mom Books
‘For any child who has ever worried about being ‘smart,’ Australian author Bell and artist Colpoys offer an expansive, reassuring look at the many ways there are to be that way…The energy of Bell’s rhyming couplets reflects the very inventiveness the book celebrates, the ebullience of kids’ imagination, emotional intelligence and practical talents. Climbing trees, making slime, inventing games. Colpoys’ illustrations, showing a busy, multiracial, multi-gifted cast, convey joyous variety and abundant compassion.’—Deirdre Baker, Toronto Star
